内容説明

The value of Dr. Osotsi's work is seen in how it demonstrates clearly the integrated nature of the arts, medicine and social practice in indigenous societies. Song, dance, poetry, theater, and medicine are practiced as tools of social organization and are assisting in advancing a more coherent way of understanding some of the complex art forms and rituals. This research shows a community performing the transition of one generation from adolescence into adulthood and in the process, creating a more integrated sense of nationhood and social responsibility within the youth.
