This volume explores Richard Haag's two designs in the Seattle area: Bloedel Reserve and Gasworks Park, examining both Haag's design process and the impact these projects have had on other architects. Essays discuss such themes as: aspects of the sublime in Haag's work; the relation between Bloedel Reserve and Eastern philosophy and mysticism; and how Haag has been a mentor to other designers. Contributors to the text include: Elizabeth Meyer, Patrick Condon, Gary Hilderbrand and Grant Jones.
