Description
For Armin Mueller-Stahl (* 1930) the time that he can spend alone in his studio is liberating: "When I am drawing, time slips out of my body." Born into an ex ceptionally artistic family, he has been drawing and painting since his childhood-almost on a daily basis. In recent years he has produced many wonderful works: drawings, sketches, paintings, and lithographs dedicated to outstanding literary figures or musi cians-from Hoelderlin to the Beatles-as well as pri vate journal entries. Since going public with his visual abilities, the multitalented actor has shown his works in numerous exhibitions. With the representative se lection of works on paper included in this volume, this brilliant actor and talented story-teller, who also trained as a musician, impressively demonstrates his gift for incisive observation, a talent that has defined all aspects of his artistic work.
