A concerted effort has also been made to make this text as concise as possible, while still maintaining the breadth and depth of coverage that makes this text Tables, figures, statistics, and examples have been updated throughout. To help better prepare students for learning and to increase comprehensive, Learning Objectives and Pre-tests have been added to the beginning of each chapter. A new Crime in the Media box has been added to highlight the increasing attention to the effect that the media has on public perception of crime.
