底本: The poems of Sir Philip Sidney (Oxford : Clarendon Press, 1962)
本詩集には「シドニ詩集」(東京教学社, 1976)と「アストロフェルとステラ : 付サーティン・ソネッツ」(篠崎書林, 1979)の二種類の先行訳が存在し、本訳詩は後者に加筆推敲し、いっそう詳しい注解を施したもの
