Among the projects discussed are the Smithsonian's National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C. by Adjaye Associates, the Guggenh eim Helsinki by Moreau Kusonoki Architects , China's Comic and Animation Museum in Hangzhou by MVRDV, the Munchmuseet in Oslo by estudio Herreros, the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa in Cape Town by Heatherwick Studio, the Long Museum West Bund in Shanghai by Atelier Deshaus and the extension of the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney by SANAA. Critical texts by leading museum and architecture writers Suzanne MacLeod, Chris Dercon, Karen van den Berg, Wolfgang Ullrich, Kali Tzortzi and Anke Groener shed light on the relation of new museum trends and state of the art architecture
