Lacks imprint. Publication: London : Printed by John Day , 1571. Data from British Library

Anonymous. Pp. 1-30 are by George Buchanan. "Actio contra Mariam Scotorum Reginam", pp. 31-100, is attributed to Thomas Wilson, as is the translation of "Literae Reginae Scot. ad comitem Bothuelium scriptae", pp. 101-121.

Only the first part, known as the Detectio is now considered Buchanan's. "Actio contra Mariam" and the translations of the three Casket letters are supposed to be the work of Thomas Wilson.

Contains also two poems, "In Mariam reginam Scoticam", signed G.M. and "In Mariam Stuartam reginam Scoticam, satyra" signed P.R. Scotus.
