Description
Evolution: A Colouring Book takes the concept of a colouring book and, well, evolves it a bit. As well as colouring in the pages, you can also engage with interactive elements such as flaps to lift, die cut holes and stencils that can be drawn through and decorated. Clear, accessible text explains the concept of natural selection and describes the evolution of life, as told through fossils, from sea creatures, to land creatures, to dinosaurs, to mammals and eventually to humans. Finnish illustrator Annu Kilpelainen (www.annukil.com) is a rising star, one of the 17 artists in the Pick Me Up Selected exhibition at Somerset House, with an exciting raft of upcoming publications and editions. Her bold, dynamic style is exploding with fun, demanding immediate access to the brightest crayons on the market.
