内容説明

The fact that racism can damage children puts a great responsibility on childcare services. Their role in enabling children to grow up free from being subjected to racism or free from learning it is vital. All those involved in childcare can actively challenge racism in young children's lives. The conference organized by Children in Scotland with Fife Regional Council in March 1993, which formed part of a European-wide project, sought to examine how racism is being tackled in Scotland and in the wider Community. It is hoped that this book will heighten awareness of racial issues and encourage early years practitioners to play a more active role in countering racism.
