Description
In this ode to natural beauty, German photographer Uwe Ommer and French-Cameroonian writer Calixthe Beyala celebrate the grace and sensuality of African women.
Ommer's radiant portraits show stunning subjects from across the continent bathed in natural light. Sometimes nude, sometimes in traditional dress, they are shot in stunning landscapes and radiate warmth, character, and confidence. In her accompanying texts, Beyala brings a special commentary to the images, adding her poetic touch to Ommer's exquisite pictures.
