This ""Geotechnical Special Publication"" contains 26 papers that were presented at the GeoHunan International Conference, Challenges and Recent Advances in Pavement Technologies and Transportation Geotechnics, held in Changsha, Hunan, China, from August 3 to 6, 2009.
