Description and Table of Contents
Description
Explicity incorporates diverse voices, from feminist political ecology and non-western scholarship in particular, in an introductory text.
Existing texts tend to put a disproportionate emphasis on canonical voices. Differs from existing texts by embracing non-human subjects more readily.
The organisation and coverage of the chapters is clear and compelling, with a good balance between theoretical and thematic areas of the field.
Inclusive of more varied content, e.g. on urbanisation (the Robbins book notoriously covers little urban grounds) and on the virtual.
