Summary:"The road from the city of Lucknow, the capital of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh to Bahraich district was fairly treacherous until it was entirely repaved in 2015. The 80-mile journey which previously took up to 6 hours by bus had been reduced to 3 hours, by the time my visit to the district ended.
