    直交二軸と回転軸の三軸同時制御のNC装置を開発し,その装置で特殊歯形ホブの歯形研削を行い,良好な結果が得られた。NC装置は,乗除算を用いないアルゴリズムを考察し,8ビットマイコンで高速処理が可能となり,安価な装置で十分な整形速度が得られた。整形精度も良好で,ホブの全歯面の同時研削ができ,作業能率が向上した。仕上げたホブの二番面の最大粗さも1μmとなり,従来のホブに比べ改善された。

    現在、モジュールの大きな歯車を荒切りする方法はいくらもあるが切削時間が長く、歯車が悪い。そこでさらに能率良く切削する方法として超硬合金を付刃したホブを開発した。切刃の欠けを防ぐこと、特に熱き裂の発生を防ぐこと、についての実験研究成果の報告である。そして熱き裂の発生をより少なくするホブの設計法を示しホブを試作し、実験し、良好な結果を得ることができた。

    内歯車を創成ホブ切するための球形ホブの球状について研究を行った。本報においては、ホブ軸を傾け、歯車の歯すじ方向とホブ切れ刃のねじすじを合わせて歯切りするときの歯切機構を明らかにし、ホブのピッチ、歯形をいかにすべきかを検討した。またホブの切れ刃みぞにリードを与える場合のホブ形状についても検討し、自動製図機を用いて歯形創成のようすを確認し、実用上有効な設計法を定めた。
