高知市は人口と事業所の集中が著しい。したがって農林水産物の市場としては、県内で隔絶した存在であり、地方の農山村から農産物の直売店が数多く集中している。本日の報告は、高知市に農産物の直売店を出店している佐川町と伊野町に焦点を当てて、母村と高知県の直売店との関係を究明する。

香川県を代表する食文化はうどんである。香川県で小麦の栽培の盛んなのは高松市と中讃地方の坂出市・丸亀市等であるが、本日、報告する綾南町は、高松市と琴平町の中間にあり、そこにある道の駅「うどん会館」は、香川県のうどん文化普及の一つの核心的機能を果たしている。本日の報告は「農林水産物直売と地域社会の活性化」に関する研究の一環として、中讃地方に事例を求め、うどん文化の普及を核に発表するものである。
