    全体と部分が同じように児えるフラクタルは,自然の造形やさまざまな物理現象に多く存在する.そのような構造によって回折・散乱された光の場にはフラクタル特有の性質が現れる.その特異性は,物体のフラクタル性の評価,フラクタル構造をもつ光デバイス,フラクタル光波の工学的応用などの観点から興味深い.ここでは,フラクタル構造からの前方単一散乱や後宵多重散乱,散乱によるフラクタルな場の生成などについて紹介する.
