Whore Biographies is a two-part collection of selected texts focused on eighteenth-century sexuality and prostitution. The texts include autobiographies and biographies of courtesans, directories of whores, erotic poems dedicated to harlots, jocular descriptions of prostitutes and jest books on strumpets. The collection provides a useful resource for the study of sexuality, gender, women's studies and the literature and history of the eighteenth century.
