Abstract
<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>Tartrate-ester modified allylsilanes, 2-allyl-1,3,2-dioxasilolane-4,5-dicarboxylic esters, (1), were found to serve as useful reagents for regiospecific and stereoselecive allylation of aldehydes. Reactions of 1 with achiral aldehydes without any catalyst gave the corresponding homoallyl alcohols in good yields (70-90%) with the ee values up to 80%.</jats:p>
