Abstract
<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>Stability and reactions of amino acids in submarine hydrothermal vent environments were examined. The decomposition rate was much slower in high hydrogen fugacity environments like the submarine hydrothermal vent systems than in usual laboratory conditions.</jats:p>
