<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>Poly(crown ether) containing dibenzo-24-crown-8-ether moieties in the main chain was prepared by exploiting a rotaxanation–protection protocol, i.e., stepwise elaboration via the polymerization of cavity-filled [2]rotaxane and subsequent removal of the axle moiety.</jats:p>
