抄録

<p>The old Jewish Quarter of Budapest is a significant historical part of the Hungarian capital city, containing characteristic multi-story apartment houses with courtyard. Today, the unique values of the area are endangered. Demolitions destroy the buildings which are already in a run-down state.</p><p>Current paper is a first step of a complex research on the required rehabilitation. The Authors are analysing the architectural properties to find the historical characteristics.</p><p>As a result, clarification in the terminology of the architectural styles around the 19th-20th century was created, the typology of layout, the building materials, as well as their connection is analysed.</p>
