Abstract

Abstract
Thermolysis of HMePhSiSiMe3 in the presence of a catalytic amount of Ir{η2-Me2Si(CH2)2PPh2} (PMe3)3 resulted in the redistribution of substituents to give its isomer HMe2SiSiMe2Ph. We propose the mechanism involving the 1,3-Me-shift on a silyl(silylene) complex, which was trapped as a donor-stabilized silyl(silylene)iridium(III) complex.
