Abstract

Abstract
Asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of a range of aromatic ketones in 2-propanol was carried out by using the iridium(I) complexes, prepared from [IrCl(cod)]2 and a variety of chiral diamine ligands derived from α-amino acids. Good catalytic activity and enantioselectivity were observed in the presence of KOH at room temperature.
