Abstract
<jats:title>Abstract</jats:title> <jats:p>A fluorescent diarylethene derivative, which changes fluorescence intensity based on the photocontrol of intramolecular electron transfer, was designed and synthesized. In polar solvents, the fluorescence intensity decreased upon irradiation with UV light and recovered upon irradiation with visible light.</jats:p>
