抄録

The purpose of this study is to find out relationship between abandonment of cultivation and urbanization level.<BR>First, distribution of municipalities that the rate of abandoned agricultural field is high move from neighborhood of central of Tokyo to outer subarbs.<BR>Secondly, the timing to abandon cultivation is earlier to convert farmland to non-farm uses. And the timing to abandon cultivation is latter to increase population.<BR>So abandonment of cultivation is one of the step to convert farmland to non-farm uses.
