Description

This book brings together some of the major economists and economic historians from Europe and the US to assess the theories, and the interpretations of those theories, of Marx, Keynes and Schumpeter. It brings out the complementarily of their general visions of the working and development of the capitalist system, and considers the contribution their work can still make to the economic debates and to the formulation of economic policies. It also attempts a synthesis of their approaches and points the way towards a topical historically-orientated dynamic theory of capitalist development.
