Description and Table of Contents

Description

This is a step-by-step manual of instructions in the basic operations of urological surgery, especially designed to meet the needs of the surgeon in-training and the general surgeon interested in urology. The second edition has been completely rewritten to bring it up to date and to incorporate changes in operative techniques introduced in the last five years. Special attention has been paid to the new techniques of flexible endoscopy and percutaneous kidney stone surgery, and to the new techniques that have been made necessary thanks to the revolutionary advances in chemotherapy of cancer of the testis and bladder. The author has continued to illustrate each procedure with his own line drawings, but has supplemented these with photographs when appropriate.
