This is the second of a five volume series of a collaborative economic history analyzing the factors which either inhibited or promoted growth and equality in eastern Europe in the period between the Treaty of Versailles in 1919 and Helsinki in 1975. Volume II examines inter-war economic policy, German hegemony during the Second World War, and national rehabilitation on short-term planning up to 1949.
