Description and Table of Contents
Description
This established textbook has been thoroughly revised and expanded and offers an introduction to the nature and genesis of metalliferous deposits suitable for undergraduate students, and the postgraduate who has received little or no training in the subject. The emphasis is on ore environments and rock-ore relationships as an approach to mineral exploration. New sections include diamonds, disseminated gold deposits, unconformity-associated uranium deposits, pegmatites, greisen and other deposits, and in addition, many new diagrams have been added. Throughout the book, an economic approach to the subject is stressed as are the implications of various theories of ore genesis for mineral exploration philosophies.
