Description and Table of Contents

Description

In 1945 a large part of the Third World was still under the direct control of the European powers. Within thirty years the European domination of the globe, which had begun nearly 500 years earlier, had came to an end. This book charts the decolonization of Asia, Africa and the Caribbean, analysing the ways in which countries separated themselves from Belgium, Britain, France, Holland and Portugal.
