Description and Table of Contents

Description

This volume brings together research and developments in the processing of glasses, ceramics and composite materials. The papers are contributed by specialists in their fields and comprise a summation of modern ceramics processing and future prospects in the field. Emphasizing the chemistry necessary to ensure efficient production and satisfactory results, contributors discuss advances in Sol-Gel and ultrafine powder processes, the chemical principles and applications of ultrastructure processing, and also address transform processes, preparation of powders and control of the characteristics of finished products.
