Description

This is the first supplement to the literature source book "Liquid-Liquid Equilibrium and Extraction" published in two parts in 1980 and 81 respectively, providing an organised literature reference source for both liquid-liquid equilibrium and for the equilibrium distribution of components between two immiscible liquids. The information therin covered the literature for the period 1900-1981 and was gathered mainly from Chemical Abstracts and allied publications in chemistry, Chemical and metallurgical engineering, medicine and pharmacy. This invaluable work has now been brought up to date by the publication of this supplement which covers the literature between 1981 and 1984, and also includes some references which were overlooked in the original volumes. The rapid growth of available information is exemplified by the fact that over 1,200 new references are reported for this 2-3 year period, compared with less than 12,000 for the 81 year period covered in the original.

Description

This second supplement to the literature source book Liquid-Liquid Equilibrium and Extraction brings that invaluable reference work completely up-to-date. The original volume, published in two parts in 1980 and 1981, covered the period from 1900 to 1981. Warmly received by reviewers, it immediately proved to be a very popular work. The first supplement followed in 1985 and covered the literature that appeared between 1981 and 1984. This second supplement extends the coverage to 1986, thus enhancing the usefulness of the work to all those working in chemistry, chemical and metallurgical engineering, biology, medicine, and pharmacy.
