内容説明

This is a very large contributed volume which deals with most aspects of contemporary risk assessment on the job - an area that is getting a good deal of attention as to what is and what is not dangerous nowadays. With thirty-four chapters organised into eight sections, the book discusses all aspects of risk assessment. These include: health promotion in the workplace; health surveillance programs in industry; occupational exposure limits; unusual work schedules; measurement of worker exposure to hazards. Generally, the thrust of the book is to deal with the biological responses of the body to the various chemical and environmental hazards and stresses which are found in the industrial workplace. The wildlife aspect covers the role of animal toxicology and pharmo-kinetic data in the safety evaluation of chemicals. The text should be of interest to industrial hygienists, toxicologists, public health officials, corporate management and mechanical and industrial engine
