Description and Table of Contents
Description
This volume analyzes and discusses the various activities of plant and animal life and behaviour and their relationship to industry. It covers the history of aquaculture and its importance to various countries; its present status and future prospects worldwide. Aquaculture research is discussed in relation to biological and technological sciences, both of which have been heavily involved in recent years. It also examines various modelling and simulation techniques for improving both aquacultural environments and for studying fish behavioural patterns. It includes two reports from the panel sessions on "Educational needs in aquaculture engineering with special reference to automation" and "The need for reliable and robust measuring devices in aquaculture facilities".
