Description and Table of Contents
Description
As the title suggests, the focus of this volume is on the hardware and software aspects of real time process control, rather than on control problems. The (mostly invited) papers may be divided into three themes: hardware, software, and integration. Providing extensive coverage of the state-of-the-art in real time computer control, the papers examine both recent developments and future trends in the field. The contributors are from universities, industry and government institutions, and the volume will be of interest to hi-tech research institutes in e.g. the nuclear, aerospace, chemical and electronics fields, and to those concerned with standardization issues.
Table of Contents
Programming Languages. Bus Systems. Reliability and Safety. Software Specification. Software Development. Databases and Expert Systems. Multiprocessor Systems. Distributed Systems. Operating Systems. Real Time Applications. Standardization and Licensing.
