Description
This reference work on the genes and other genetic variants of the mouse provides descriptions of all known gene loci and chromosome anomalies. In this edition the gene list has roughly doubled in size and chapters on DNA polymorphisms, repeated DNA, cancer-related genes and variants found in wild mice have been included. There is also a range of genetic maps including overall recombination and cytogenetic maps and more detailed maps of cancer-related genes, the mouse t-complex, translocations, chromosomal breakpoints and chromosomal inversions. A further section provides information on inbred, congenic and recombinant inbred strains, their characteristics and the laboratories holding them.
