Provides a detailed treatment of supercritical fluid science and technology from a broad perspective, from the molecular level to applied technology. Covers molecular interactions and structure; phase behavior, surfactants, gels, and polymers; chemical reactions; rate processes (crystallization, heat, and mass transfer); food, pharmaceutical, and environmental applications, and design of commercial plants. In addition, it is the first volume to address the uses of computer simulation to study some of the novel and unique properties of supercritical fluid solvents.
