内容説明

Remote sensing is concerned with the generation of data and extraction of information from satellite observation devices. This volume, based on a conference on the subject, provides an up-to-date survey of the mathematical techniques available for this purpose. The volume is based on the proceedings of a conference on mathematics and its applications in remote sensing, held at Danbury, Essex in May 1986. Its primary appeal will be to specialists in remote sensing working on a broad range of electromagnetic spectra. It presents a "state-of-the-art" account of what is possible with today's mathematical tools and offers a perspective on the capabilities of future remote sensing systems.
