"The Management of Pain" discusses the aetiology, pathophysiology, symptoms, signs, diagnosis and treatment of every painful disorder and every chronic pain syndrome. It contains descriptions and illustrations of the sensory (pain) nerve supply of every joint, bone muscle and deep somatic structure in the body. Provided are tables of differential diagnosis which contain a concise description of pain and other important differential diagnostic points on every painful condition and pain syndrome that can occur in each region of the body. This book presents data on the incidence and prevalence of acute and chronic pain syndrome and its economic and social impact on the patient, family and society.
