Description and Table of Contents

Description

The last few years have seen a renewed interest in the interaction between theoretical physics have stimulated important advances in mathematics and these in turn have further enabled significant theoretical progress in physics. This volume is based on a conference which brought together many of the leading researchers in this field. As a result, the volume provides an up-to-date survey of the current state of particle physics. Topics covered include quantum groups, instantons in Yang-Mills theories, conformal algebras, gauge theories, cyclic cohomology, rational conformal field theories, string theory accounts of these topics. Together, they provide source of new material and new avenues of exploration for all those whose research touches on the mathematics of particle physics.
