内容説明

A collection of papers from the Institute of Energy conference held in April 1990. The papers discuss the role of ceramics in radiant heating, engines and fans, fuel cells, heat exchangers and processes and new applications and developments of ceramics in the energy industry. The volume also presents information about the evaluation and performance of materials, including testing the performance of materials used for ceramic radiant and immersion tubes and corrosion testing of silicon nitride based materials. The new applications and developments include discussion of energy conservation at British Stainless Steel, utilization of ceramics in industrial burners and equipment and the energy applications of silicon carbide.
