Description and Table of Contents

Description

This monograph deals with the theory and practical applications of trace metals preconcentration. It gives general characteristics of the process and describes in detail the methods of preconcentration: solvent extraction, sorption, co-precipitation, volatilization, and others. Special attention is given to preconcentration in combination with subsequent determination methods. The use of preconcentration in analysis of environmental biological samples, mineral raw materials, high purity substances, and various industrial materials is also considered. The book will be of interest to analytical chemists working in research institutes and industrial laboratories and will be useful for radiochemists and process engineers as well as teachers and students specializing in related fields.
