The primary objective of the book is to ellucidate the geological, geochemical and geophysical characteristics of new and/or different epithermal gold deposits and their districts in the Circum-Pacific, in order to improve understanding of the controlling factors in their formation, and to assist in further exploration. Details of the exploration history was also included. The book contains a wide selection of papers on epithermal deposits, prospects and regions, geologically and geographically diverse; these papers will be useful to industry and research geologists alike. Several of the deposits and prospects discussed are newly discovered.
