Description
This text presents the fundamentals for that branch of engineering that defines the requirements in design and development of new systems and products. The book includes all of the major components, including design, quality control, engineering design methods, CAD/CAM, automation, process control, cost analysis, software implementation and delivery. How these various components are integrated is described. The author takes the longer term view of system requirements and considerations in the face of increased competition and limited resources, and presents the fundamentals of systems engineering in terms of its objectives and applications in a development process.
