This colour atlas presents neuroanatomy from a functional viewpoint. The text summarizes and integrates human dissections and histology and various scanning techniques are discussed. Attention is paid to correlating the material used with routine examinations in the living patient, with pathological sections at autopsy. Only human material has been used for the illustrations, even those of the foetal and embryonic nervous systems.
