内容説明
Various neurophysiological techniques for the intraoperative monitoring of neurological functions are described in this volume. The contributors describe the methodology and clinical results that have been achieved in recognized medical centres. The different experiences are compared, thus showing the clinical value of neurophysiological monitoring in neurosurgery. The use of intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring is demonstrated for operations near the brain stem, in the cerebello-pontine angle, in blood vessels, and in cranial base tumours on or near cerebral nerves. The contributors describe how the technique is desirable and useful during difficult neurosurgical operations, for example during operations of large aneurysms or preservative operations in cases of acoustic neurilemomas.
