内容説明
This volume of essays on agrarian history is the result of a conference held by the Rockefeller Foundation in Italy in 1988, during which participants discussed agricultural productivity in relation to the European economy of the past. The aim of the conference was to bring together leading scholars to exchange ideas both on the methodology of agricultural productivity in the past, and the substantive historical problems associated with it.
