内容説明

This is a guide to performing and interpreting MRI studies of the shoulder. It gives practical guidance on the use of MRI in the investigation and management of shoulder disorders and describes and illustrates MRI findings for various shoulder disorders. It explains how abnormalities seen on MR images relate to pathophysiology and clinical signs. The book also highlights the utility of MRI for other glenohumeral diseases including biceps tendon disorders, avascular necrosis, synovial processes, other post-traumatic disorders and staging and evaluation of musculoskeletal neoplasms. Complementing the text are 400 scans depicting normal shoulder anatomy and showing the wide variety of pathologic findings encountered in practice. The text includes an explanation of the basic principles of MRI and step-by-step instructions on imaging techniques for the shoulder. A separate chapter describes and illustrates the normal general and MRI anatomy of the shoulder and shows the wide range of variations in normal anatomy. An additional chapter discusses the clinical presentations of shoulder disease and offers advice on clinical evaluation of shoulder pain.
