This text for the core engineering thermodynamics course has been thoroughly revised based on feedback from users of the first edition and reviewers. A major change has been to convert to the traditional sign convention used in the engineering community. Other changes include a reworked treatment of the second law of thermodynamics, the addition of many more practical applications, and the increased number and scope of homework problems. A solutions manual and software are available.
