Description
Widely differing estimates on the cost of controlling greenhouse gas emissions have been produced by various researchers around the world. To help clarify the debate a major study was commissioned to review the current models and methods of measuring macroeconomic costs. This report details the results of this commission as well as various studies - highlighting the merits and limitations of different approaches to this complex subject. It also provides a contribution to the debate on macroeconomic consequences of global warming and the cost of abating greenhouse gas emissions.
